OCALA, Fla. — A former Marion County teacher has been found guilty of having sex with an underage girl.
Duane Adams, who taught at Francis Marion Military Academy, was arrested in January when police said they found out a girl from his school had been staying at his apartment.
Adams had sex with the 15-year-old and helped her run away from home, authorities said.
Police said Adams also took the teen to a Daytona Beach hotel and a cabin in Ocala.
Adams is scheduled to be back in court in December for sentencing.
