2 killed in Orange County crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two people died in a crash that happened early Monday morning in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that crash happened just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of South Econlockhatchee Trail and Curry Ford Road.

They said a passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of one of the vehicles died at a hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital as a trauma patient, but they are expected to survive.

Econlockhatchee Trail was closed in both directions for the investigation. The road has reopened.
