ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children rolled out the red carpet for its chronically ill patients who are unable to attend their own school’s prom.
Because some teen patients spend a lot of time at the hospital due to the nature of their illness or condition, the child life team at APH wants to make sure those kids don’t miss prom just because of their hospitalization.
The annual tradition was started in 2017 but had not been able to continue it for the last couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
