“Dr. Phillips Charities has been a strong supporter of health care access for all Central Floridians, starting with Dr. P. Phillips himself and his efforts to bring quality health care for persons of color to Central Florida during segregation,” said Ken Robinson, president and CEO of Dr. Phillips Charities. “Now with Community Health Centers and Lift Orlando, we can bring more opportunities for quality health care through so many more access points for people living in the West Lakes Neighborhood.”
The new health center will improve access to health care for all ages and health care needs in the West Lakes community.
According to a news release, prior to this project, only 1 in 3 members of the community had access to preventative health care.
