WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Winter Garden police said a man killed himself Monday evening in South Florida after he killed his estranged wife in the afternoon.
Officers responded to the Promenade Apartments around 3:15 p.m. where they found 44-year-old Gislaine De Lima Felipe dead inside one of the units.
Investigators said it appears that there was a struggle inside the apartment before the murder.
Officers said her killer was her estranged husband, and the man was leaving messages with mutual friends claiming responsibility for her death.
The man, who’s identify has not been released, was tracked by police to an apartment complex in West Palm Beach where he committed suicide before he could be arrested, officers said.
