ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 50-year-old Ocoee woman died after she may have suffered a medical episode and crashed into a tree Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened as the woman drove a Lexus IS north on North Hiawassee Road near Clarcona Ocoee Road.
Investigators said the driver suffered a possible medical episode, causing the Lexus to veer off the roadway to the left and into a business parking lot.
The vehicle then struck a curb, fence and tree, according to the crash report.
The woman was taken to AdventHealth Apopka, where she was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
