Property dispute leads to fatal shooting, deputies said

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — On Friday afternoon, Orange County deputies responded to shooting on the 13800 block of Taylor Creek Road.

Deputies said after arriving, they located 30-year-old Billy Irvin Nobles with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital and later died from his injuries.

On Saturday, deputies arrested 69-year-old Ralph Christie Jr. on charges of first-degree murder with a firearm.

According to deputies, all parties involved know each other, and the shooting occurred because of an on-going property dispute between relatives.

Christie is currently being held in Orange County jail.
