ORLANDO, Fla. — The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida is celebrating 25 years of helping the area’s Latino community with the opening of a new office.
The chamber supports Latino small businesses through networking efforts and by educating owners.

Chamber President Jorge Figueroa announced Wednesday that the chamber is opening a new office off of Osceola Parkway next week.
The organization is also working to bring back an awards gala to recognize local heroes.

“We want to make sure that everybody knows that the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce is here to stay. That we have a house. That we have a strong footing, and we’re here to serve the community,” Figueroa said.
The chamber said more than 400,000 Puerto Ricans live in Central Florida.
