Spanish language Éxitos 96.5 to launch in Orlando on Monday; WDBO to be available on 580 AM, 107.3 FM

ORLANDO, Fla. — Cox Media Group -- Channel 9′s parent company -- said Wednesday that it will launch Spanish language radio station Éxitos 96.5 FM on Monday.

The company said the station will provide Central Florida’s Hispanic community a new choice for music, entertainment and information.

CMG said Éxitos 96.5 will feature songs from artists, such as Marc Anthony, Romeo Santos and Juan Luis Guerra.

Orlando radio personality Estee Martin will serve as the station’s director of branding and programming.

Martin, who was raised in Central Florida, has been a host on sister station Power 95.3 since 2005.

“I’m excited and honored to be a part of something new and historic for the Central Florida Hispanic community,” she said.

Come Monday, Orlando’s WDBO will be available on 580 AM and 107.3 FM.

WDBO has provided the Orlando area with news, information and talk programming since its launch in 1924.

WDBO will continue to stream online on wdbo.com, the WDBO mobile app and on streaming devices, such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.

The station’s local personalities include Joe Kelley, Scott Anez and Tony Marino. It also airs shows from nationally known personalities, such as Sean Hannity, Brian Kilmeade and Dana Loesch.

Channel 9 was joined by its radio partners WDBO and Star 94.5 in hosting “A Conversation on Race in Central Florida” on Tuesday evening.
