Tax service firm KPMG invests $1M into Orlando nonprofit

ORLANDO, Fla. — Audit, tax and advisory service firm, KPMG celebrated its 125th anniversary this week by investing in the greater Orlando area.

The organization announced a $1 million donation benefiting Lift Orlando.

Lift Orlando is a nonprofit that works with residents, business leaders, and community partners on neighborhood revitalization projects in the 32805 zip code, which includes Holden Heights.

“Through this gift we are thrilled to play a role increasing access to healthcare and supporting wholistic wellness services in a community that has too often become a healthcare desert,” said KPMG U.S. foundation board chair Anita Whitehead. “We are also delighted that our funds will help improve the outcomes of early learning and K-3 education programs.”

Orlando plays a key role in KPMG’s future because it is home to two offices and the KPMG Lakehouse, the firm’s learning and development center.

In addition to the donation gift, KPMG employees also took part in several volunteer events across the Orlando area, including packing food, donating blood and building bookbags.
