Where is COVID-19 spreading the fastest in Central Florida? Here’s the breakdown by ZIP code

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health makes it possible to breakdown where the most COVID-19 cases are being reported by ZIP code.

Experts said local leaders might want to consider restrictions in very specific communities if the spread becomes unmanageable.

“Give people the sense of, ‘I’m living in a place where there is a lot of transmission happening right now. And I therefore need to be a bit more careful,’” Johns Hopkins epidemiology professor David Dowdy said.

When looking at Central Florida ZIP codes with at least 1,000 people, these are the ones with the greatest spread of COVID-19 this month:
