ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando City announced Wednesday the U.S. Open Cup final against Sacramento Republic FC is officially SOLD OUT!
The game will be played at Exploria Stadium on Sept. 7, 8 p.m.
Orlando City beat the New York Red Bulls on July 27, 5-1, to advance to the finals.
USL’s Sacramento Republic FC stunned MLS Sporting KC in penalty kicks to earn the right to travel to Orlando for the final.
Orlando City says some tickets are currently reserved for team purposes that could be released to the general public as game day nears.
“Once again, our fans are showing that they are the greatest supporters in all of Major League Soccer,” Orlando City SC President of Business Operations Jarrod Dillon said. “September 7th will be a historic night for our Club, our community and our city, and we can’t wait to have Exploria Stadium rocking as we compete for the Open Cup Championship.”
A win would be the first trophy for Orlando City, since joining MLS and the Lions would be the first team in Orlando to win a major championship at the professional level.
