Orlando to partner with Hertz to expand access to electric rental cars

ORLANDO, Fla. — The city of Orlando is set to announce a new partnership with Hertz to expand the company’s fleet of electric rental cars.

It’s called “Hertz Electrifies Orlando.”

The plan also includes teaching students in Orange County Public Schools about the benefits of electric vehicles and calls for more charging infrastructure.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is set to speak about the partnership Thursday afternoon.
