OUC proposes PeakShift pricing to cut peak demand

Orlando Utilities Commission soon will consider a new pricing model for its customers aimed at shifting energy demand.

The utility’s PeakShift proposal is slated to go before its board in November for a presentation, with the potential for a Dec. 10 vote.

OUC spokeswoman Michelle Lynch told Orlando Business Journal the schedule allows more time for customers to learn about and comment on the proposal.
