Painter found dead in Sarasota Military Academy

SARASOTA, Fla. — A painter is dead after being pinned between a piece of machinery and a wall at Sarasota Military Academy.
 
The accident happened Wednesday morning.
 
The Sarasota Police Department says two people found 55-year-old Mitch Phelps and were able to lower the machine's bucket and call 911.
 
The man was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
 
Police say Phelps worked for Service Painting of Florida. The company told authorities the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will looking into the accident to determine the cause.
