NEW CASTLE, Del. — A New Castle County Airport official says a Frontier Airlines plane headed to Florida left the pavement and got stuck in the mud.
The News Journal reports that no injuries were reported after the plane got stuck Sunday night.
Airport spokesman Stephen Williams says Flight 1435 to Orlando, Florida, was cleared to head toward a runway, when the plane left the pavement. He says the nose gear and the right main gear become lodged in the soil.
Passengers disembarked and are expected to leave Monday. The plane will be towed and inspected.
