Police: Caregiver, husband fatally shoot woman, 89, in Ponce Inlet

PONCE INLET, Fla. — An 89-year-old woman was shot and killed by her caregiver and her caregiver’s husband Wednesday morning, the Ponce Inlet Police Department said.

Police said they found Margaret Hindsley suffering from gunshot wounds at a home on Links Village Drive.

Lifesaving efforts began and Hindsley was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Police said two suspects were taken into custody in Oak Hill after they admitted to a relative that they shot Hindsley.
