Cops: Man said 'Give me the drugs' while stabbing CVS employees

INVERNESS, Fla. — A man stabbed three CVS employees at the pharmacy counter in Inverness over the weekend, investigators said.

Citrus County authorities said Jacob Kleintank was trying to get an out-of-state prescription filled at the CVS Sunday night.

The pharmacist said that was against the rules and Kleintank left.

However, when Kleintank returned, police said he jumped the counter and began stabbing the pharmacist in the hand saying, "Give me the drugs."

Two other employees came to help their co-worker and were also stabbed.

"It's awful. You hate to think that somebody would do something like that to people," said customer Vicky Nast.

Officials said the injured employees are expected to recover.

Kleintank was arrested on charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Authorities said Kleintank lives in Alexandria, Virginia and was visiting his parents in Inverness for a few days.
