ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Authorities have arrested a South Carolina man in connection with a shooting at an Orlando Greyhound station.
Orlando police arrested 23-year-old D’Andre Wood after shots were fired at the Greyhound bus station Saturday night.
Wood of Goose Creek, S.C., has been charged with carrying a
concealed firearm and resisting an officer without violence.
Police said Greyhound security personnel escorted the man off a
bus Saturday evening after receiving reports of a suspicious
person.
According to police, the guards searched his luggage and found a
firearm. The suspect allegedly reached for his waistband and the
security officers fired in self-defense.
The man ran into the woods and was found early Saturday by a
police SWAT team. They also recovered a firearm.
Wood is being held at the Orange County Jail on $5,200 bail.
