Police still looking for man who exposed himself to Altamonte Springs women

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Two women living in the Ashford and Lotus Landing apartment complexes in Altamonte Springs sounded shaken when they called 911 after police said the two caught a man partially clothed in front of, and inside their homes.

"I just caught some guy masturbating through my window," one woman told a 911 dispatcher.

Police released the calls nearly two weeks after the man first broke into one of the apartments.

The callers said the man was wearing a green or blue sweater and both women described him as a white man, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. Neither woman was able to get a good look at his face.

Police said one of those 911 calls was delayed because the victim had her cellphone taken by the man. According to the police, the man even took a photo the woman, on her own cellphone, while she was in the shower.

"He's completely sick minded to do something like that completely," said resident Alondra Kenon.

Kenon is a freshman at Seminole State's Altamonte Springs campus. Channel 9's Karla Ray learned the school didn't notify students of the incidents even though one happened right by the school.

"That's what surprised me most. I feel like we should all be aware of this. I mean, this guy's around here and we're around this area every day. We should definitely have heard about this by now. I haven't heard about this at all," said Kenon.

School officials told Ray that they met with police "after the incidents along State Road 434 were first reported to share intelligence information in reference to the suspect. Based on the information shared, it is not believed that the suspect poses a danger to students as the alleged incidents occurred in residential areas. The College remains in contact with ASPD."

Police have stepped up patrols in the area, including the use of undercover officers.
