Rain and storms will increase Monday before drying out midweek

Evening Forecast: Sunday, September 13, 2026 (WFTV)

CENTRAL FLA. — We closed out the weekend with lower rain and storm coverage, but more active weather is ahead.

The scattered rain and storms will end this evening, with partly cloudy skies overnight. Morning lows will be in the mid 70s.

More moisture pushes back into the area Monday, increasing rain and storm chances once again. The best chance for activity will be in the afternoon and evening, with highs in the low 90s.

Elevated rain and storm chances continue into Tuesday as tropical moisture remains in place. Highs for Tuesday will be in the low 90s.

Changes finally begin to arrive midweek. Some drier air will surge into the region, reducing rain and storm coverage to scattered. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low 90s.

The drier air exits late in the week, allowing deeper moisture to quickly return by Friday and next weekend.
