Recall alert: Southeastern grocery stores issue voluntary recall on ‘Organic Fresh Cut Basil’

ORLANDO, Fla. — A voluntary recall has been issued for an organic basil sold at grocery stored around the southeastern U.S.

Southeastern Grocers, which is the parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarkets and Winn-Dixie stores, issued the recall on Naturally Better Organic Fresh Cut Basil due to “the detection of cyclospora on the product,” officials said.

The business said the basil was delivered through all of its distribution centers and sold in all Southeastern Grocers stores.

Officials said anyone who still has this product, regardless of the date, should throw it away or return it to any store for a full refund.
