OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Demolition is underway at the Good Samaritan senior living complex in Kissimmee after hundreds of units were flooded during Hurricane Ian.
A woman who spent years living at Good Samaritan said she’s heartbroken she’ll never be able to go back home.
Teresa Kountz said she was hopeful it would be as it was in the past. They’d fix it and she could eventually go home, or the complex would find an alternative.
But the only alternative now is to find affordable housing that accommodates seniors, which she said isn’t easy.
Watch her story in the video above.
