DELAND, Fla. — 1:13 p.m. Update:
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the threat was a hoax after K-9 teams made a sweep of the church.
Officials said detectives would be following up on this incident.

Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said people should avoid this DeLand area for an active investigation after a bomb threat Sunday.

Deputies are currently investigating the threat at the Lifepoint Church in the 1700 block of West New York Avenue in DeLand.
The church was evacuated after the threat was reported at 10:42 a.m.
The sheriff’s office said no other information about the incident was given at this time, but it would provide updates as they become available.
