ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — After being stuck high in the air for nearly two hours, riders on SeaWorld's Sky Tower attraction were lowered safely back to the ground.
A total of 50 SeaWorld guests and two park employees became stuck Monday about a quarter of the way up the 400-foot Sky Tower's pole when the attraction stopped moving.

In a statement, SeaWorld said it was "working closely with Orange County Fire and Rescue to quickly and safely remove all guests from the ride. We are in constant communication with the guests and team members on the ride and all passengers are safe."
Riders were back on the ground by about 3:20 p.m.
“It jerked a little bit and some of us were paranoid, holding on tight, thinking the emergency brakes off, we're going to come crashing down,” said rider Michel Moffat. “I’m glad we didn't have to go down in the cage. They eventually got the ride down and we didn't have to go down in the cage.”
The number of guests and SeaWorld employees trapped on the ride was not immediately released.
“It’s rough being on vacation and having to deal with it but we made the best of it,” said Moffat.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
SeaWorld did not immediately release the cause of the ride failure.
