SANFORD, Fla. — Bed Bath & Beyond has announced the closure of more than 50 stores – and one of them is in Central Florida.

The store in Sanford on Towne Center Boulevard is set to close.

The company is trying to rescue itself and keep from having to file for bankruptcy.

It hopes that cutting jobs and closing stores, along with more than $500 million in financing, will help.
It also plans to add more stores to the list.
