Seminole County launches new self-administered COVID-19 testing site

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Seminole County launched a new self-administered COVID-19 testing site on Friday.

Officials said they’ve partnered with Curative to provide self-collected COVID-19 testing from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week at Red Bug Lake Park, located at 3600 Red Bug Lake Park in Casselberry.

Appointments are available, but walk ups are also welcome. You can click here to sign up.

All people have to do is show their identification and the testing will be provided at no cost, regardless of insurance status.

Results are available within 24 to 72 hours.

The county said there is no age limit for the self-swab collection testing, but that minors must have a parent or guardian present to be tested.

“It’s great because it’s in an open area. People who live around here can just easily come here so I feel like it was a great experience,” said Oviedo resident Jeremy Fredick.

Another Curative testing site will open on March 22 at the Museum of Seminole County History, located at 300 Eslinger Way in Sanford.
