Have a green thumb? Oviedo plant store to give away thousands of houseplants next week

OVIEDO, Fla. — Looking to grow your plant collection? An Oviedo nursery will help you do so for free next week.

Gabriella Plants is giving away thousands of plants for free during its second annual Christmas giveaway.

The nursery, located at 5420 Deep Lake Road, #1064, in Oviedo, will host the giveaway at 9 a.m. Dec. 20 -- until the plants are gone.

The owners said people should plan to arrive early, as plant lovers last year started lining up hours before the shop opened.

Last year, the owner said they gave away more than 2,000 plants to nearly 500 guests, and they hope this year will be even bigger.

Attendees will be able to take as many plants as will fit in the shop’s standard-size paper bag.
