Some Barefoot Bay residents to be under boil-water notice Tuesday

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Some Brevard County residents will have to boil their water Tuesday.

Residents of Snug Harbor subdivision in Barefoot Bay will be under a precautionary boil water notice, due to the replacement of a fire hydrant.

Residents of Snug Harbor living on Agawam Road, Buckhorn Place, Blackhawk Road and Algonquin Place are asked to be prepared to be without water from 8 a.m. to noon,” a press release said. “Once the water service is available, those affected will be asked to boil their water until a bacteriological survey determines the water is safe to drink.”

As a precaution, residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
