MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A Marion County woman took a chance on a lottery ticket and turned her $30 purchase into a million bucks.

Belleview’s Sheryl Sprouse recently claimed her $1 million prize, Florida Lottery officials said.
Sprouse’s riches came after she stopped into a store in Summerfield and bought a scratch-off ticket.

The game she played -- Florida 300X the Cash -- offers four top prizes of $15 million and 24 $1 million prizes.
Sprouse uncovered one of those million-dollar prizes on a ticket that she purchased from Quick King Food Store, located at 14725 Southeast U.S. Highway 441.

The store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling her the winning ticket, lottery officials said.
Sprouse chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $695,500.

According to Florida Lottery, the overall odds of winning a prize from Florida 300X the Cash are 1 in 2.93.
