WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Regular customers of the Value Pawn in Winter Garden said it was anything but business as usual after two men pulled off an armed smash-and-grab in the middle of the afternoon Monday.
"They were already putting up the tape, there were four [police cars] going past Avalon down 50 at a really high rate of speed," said customer Seth Kaniuka.
In newly released surveillance footage from inside the store, a masked man can be seen entering the store and going straight for the jewelry counter.
He is seen smashing the glass from two different displays before he grabs just about everything inside.
One customer said the pawn shop's employees were on edge, following the theft.
"I thought something was up, and they're not talking about it, but they were all pretty shaken up inside," said customer Carlos Patino.
Two employees working Tuesday night are the same two employees who had a gun pointed at them Monday.
On a second surveillance camera a man is seen holding the door open and waving a gun around.
The two took fled in a silver van but ditched the van for a black Charger.
They led police on a chase into Lake County before the pair ran off on foot.
