Volusia County, Fla. — A professional wrestling star is facing DUI charges in Central Florida.
Jeff Hardy, 44, was pulled over while driving on Interstate 95 Monday morning in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A short time earlier, FHP said that several callers had reported seeing a white Dodge Charger on I-4 near Deltona “swerving all over the roadway.”
A trooper caught up with the car as it was merging from I-4 onto I-95 northbound, driving “significantly under the speed limit,” according to an arrest report.
The trooper who pulled Hardy over at mile marker 262 near Daytona Beach reported that he appeared to be confused and smelled of alcohol.
Investigators said Hardy’s blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
Hardy, who used to wrestle in the WWE, is now part of All Elite Wrestling.
He was booked into the Volusia County jail and was released Monday night after posting bond.
Hardy’s charges include DUI and violating driver’s license restrictions, according to FHP.
FHP said Hardy had two previous DUI convictions in 2018 and 2019.
