Two TD Bank locations robbed 6 times in past 2 months

ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Orlando Police said a man held up the TD Bank on East Colonial Drive near Bumby Wednesday morning, and investigators think he may have robbed another bank on Delaney Avenue Monday.

The location on Colonial has been robbed several times in the past two months, and police think the same man is responsible for at least two of the robberies.

Police are trying to figure out the identity of this man seen in surveillance photos.

Police said the man gave the teller a note that said he had a gun and demanded cash. Two customer who were turned away said they almost stopped by the bank minutes before the robbery.

"Glad we didn't stop because we could have got caught int the midst of it," one customer said.

Orlando police said they believe the same man robbed the TD Bank on Delaney two days ago. There have been six robberies at the two banks within the past two months.

Police arrested one man last month for a New Year's robbery at the Delaney branch. However, they haven't been able to make arrests in the other five robberies. Some of the suspects are different in each robbery.

WFTV contacted the TD Bank headquarters and asked representatives if there were any extra security measures or why they believe these banks are being targeted. They have not responded to our calls yet.

But in the meantime, customers said they are concerned for their safety.

"No, we are going somewhere else," a customer said.
