Teen shot, killed during house party in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators are searching for clues after a 17-year-old high school student was fatally shot at a house party in an east Orange County neighborhood Friday night.

Dozens of teens showed up at the home on Killian Drive after information about the party was apparently posted on Facebook. Deputies said they responded after shots were fired around 11 p.m.

Colonial High School student Tony Nguyen, 17, was found lying in the street in front of the home with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.

Most of the people at the party fled the area before deputies arrived, according to investigators.

"They were kind of in a panic," neighbor Adrian Rosario said. "He was just laying there bleeding."

A few witnesses were interviewed and officials said they're cooperating with detectives. By Saturday evening a small memorial for Nguyen had been set up outside of the home where the shooting happened.

No suspect information has been released by officials. Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
