Officers said Bladon Rogers was last seen getting dropped off at Oakridge High School, but he did not go to class.
A picture from a Mega Bus station showed Rogers with family friend Christopher Kemp, 29, on April 19, getting on a bus in Orlando at about 7:45 p.m. Rogers family said they haven't heard anything from him in more than a week.
Investigators said the bus was headed to Atlanta, but officers have not confirmed whether the pair made it there.
A warrant was issued for Kemp's arrest on charges of interference with child custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Officers said Rodgers is extremely intelligent, but lacks social confidence.
Kemp has an extensive criminal record, but is not a sex offender. Investigators said they have information that Rogers may have been talking to older men online.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS
or 911.
