Traveling for Thanksgiving? Here’s what you need to know on the busiest travel day for the holiday

ORLANDO, Fla. — AAA said Wednesday will be the busiest travel day at airports and roads across Florida.

If you are one of the 2.5 million Floridians trying to drive for Thanksgiving, you can expect to pay more at the pump to fill up your gas tank.

This is the highest Thanksgiving gas prices have been in eight years.

The average gas price in Florida is $3.35 a gallon.

AAA said the worst times to travel on Wednesday are between noon and 8 p.m.

A lot of people are also taking a plane ride to their Thanksgiving destinations.

Traffic leading to Orlando International Airport was heavy on Wednesday morning.

According to AAA, Orlando is the top destination for Thanksgiving travel.
