CENTRAL FLORIDA — It was a mostly dry and pleasant Thursday across Central Florida, but changes are on the way for Friday and the weekend.
A few spotty showers will remain possible this evening, with rain chances increasing along the coast overnight. Morning lows will settle into the mid-70s.
Friday will stay mostly dry for many locations, though a few isolated showers are possible during the day. High temperatures will climb into the low 90s.
A more noticeable pattern change arrives this weekend as an upper-level low moves across the state, pulling deeper moisture back into the region.
Rain and storm chances will increase on Saturday, with the highest coverage expected on Sunday. Temperatures will remain in the low 90s both days.
The tropical moisture will linger into early next week, keeping rain and storm chances elevated across Central Florida. Highs will continue in the low 90s.
Storm coverage should begin to decrease by the middle of next week, though scattered afternoon showers and storms will remain possible.
