Universal's 3-D Transformer ride opening date unveiled on 80-foot Megatron

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando will open its new 3-D Transformers ride on June 20, which was unveiled on the Fairwinds building Thursday morning.

The Transformer, Megatron, was made to look as though he broke through the Fairwinds building along I-4 in Orlando.

The Megatron image is a giant 80-foot sticker.

In a statement, Universal said the ride is "a mind-blowing, action-packed ride experience that pushes the limits of technology to place guests in the middle of a larger-than-life battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons."
