Woman arrested, charged in fatal Kissimmee stabbing

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A woman attempting to board a bus for New York was arrested and charged in the stabbing death of a man in Kissimmee Monday, according to Kissimmee police.
 
Police said Amanda Lopez, 26, is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Larry Fryar, 57.
 
According to police, officers responded to an apartment on Lake Tivoli Boulevard at around 2 a.m. where they found Fryar with stab wounds. Fryar was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
Police said Lopez was identified as a person of interest in the case.
 
According to investigators, Orlando police stopped Lopez as she tried to board a bus in Orlando.
 
Police said Lopez was transported to the Kissimmee Police Department, where she cooperated in the investigation into Fryar's death.
 
Police said Fryar was a former boyfriend of Lopez's.
 
Lopez will be booked into jail on a no-bond status, police said.
