Orange County deputies investigating possible shooting death in Apopka

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies say a man was killed in a possible shooting in Apopka Tuesday night.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Hermit Smith Road around 7:30 p.m. for reports of a possible shooting.

They arrived to find a man in his 30s with injuries described only as “life-threatening.” The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead there.

The sheriff’s office didn’t specify whether the victim had actually been shot.

No other information was released as the sheriff’s office says they’re now in the early stages of an active and ongoing death investigation.
