WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Speaker Paul Ryan posted a group selfie on Instagram on Saturday.
Ryan captioned the photo saying it might set a world record for most Capitol Hill interns in a selfie.
But, Mic reported that some social media users noticed the picture for a different reason:
They say the photo shows a lack of racial diversity.
Former "American Idol" contestant Clay Aiken, who unsuccesfully ran for Congress in 2014, joked about the photo:
Why did @SpeakerRyan make the black intern take the picture? #smdh pic.twitter.com/RKJe9HXmnb

According the Washington Post, Capitol Hill's demographics do not reflect the country's demographics. There are initiatives that exist to promote more diverse employment.
