A sock-wearing kitten was saved Saturday from the torrential flooding Hurricane Matthew unleashed on North Carolina.

Pictures of the kitten wearing a makeshift sweater crafted by cutting well-placed holes in a sock were posted to Twitter.
The three-to-four-week-old kitten was adopted Sunday, a day after it was taken to a Petsmart store in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to Love Meow.
