A little boy’s heartbreaking letter to Santa is showing what kids who are living in domestic violence shelters may be dealing with this holiday season.
The 7-year-old child, only identified as Blake, said he and his mother left their home, going to “a safer place where we don’t have to be scared,” CBS News reported.
The letter then goes on to describe that Blake is nervous and doesn’t want to talk to the other children at Safe Haven of Tarrant County, Texas, KSAT reported.
In addition to the normal gifts kids may ask for, Blake asked for one more thing -- a “very very very good dad," the letter said, according to shelter officials.
