Authorities arrested Amanda Taylor two days after authorities responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at Imagination Playhouse Daycare in the 3300 block of W. Sunnyside Avenue, police said.

The child was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where doctors determined that she suffered “non-accidental injuries,” according to police. Authorities did not elaborate on the girl’s injuries, but said that she was later airlifted to Valley Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Following several interviews and the execution of a search warrant at Imagination Playhouse, investigators determined that Taylor was the only adult who had contact with the injured 1-year-old at the time that she was wounded. Officials booked Taylor into Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on a no-bail arrest warrant Friday.

Authorities continue to investigate.
