BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — A Georgia man is facing charges in Alabama after deputies say they found him with 50 pounds of marijuana, 25 pounds of THC edibles and 8 pounds of fentanyl during a traffic stop.
In a news release, Baldwin County sheriff’s deputies said they initially stopped a pickup truck pulling a trailer for a traffic violation. During the stop, however, the deputy became suspicious and asked to search the trailer.
Deputies shared photos of what they found inside the trailer, which included 50 pounds of what they described as “high-grade marijuana,” and more than 8 pounds of fentanyl, as well as 25 pounds of THC candies, cereals and edibles.
Howard Grant, the driver, was arrested and is facing drug trafficking charges.
Grant told deputies he was heading to the Atlanta area, and then on to Pennsylvania, WEAR reported.
