Days after issues brought down Facebook and Instagram for users worldwide, users again reported issues Friday accessing the social media sites.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products,” Facebook officials said Friday afternoon in a Twitter post. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

Officials with Instagram also confirmed that some users were having issues using the app.
“We’re so sorry and are working as quickly as possible to fix,” the site’s public relations team said in a tweet.

The issues were resolved around 5:15 p.m., Facebook and Instagram officials said.
It was not immediately clear how widespread the issues were. Reports of issues using both Facebook and Instagram began to surface on DownDetector, a site that tracks website and service outages, just before 3 p.m.
The issues were reported after a faulty configuration change caused Facebook, Instagram and the instant messaging service WhatsApp to go down for about six hours Monday.
