Libby Costello, Sophia Denison-Johnston, Brooke Downes and Adrienne Smith became the fastest all-women team to complete the Great Pacific Race, Hawaii News Now reported.

According to the news outlet, the team, known as the Lat 35 crew, rowed 2,400 nautical miles from San Francisco to Honolulu in 34 days, 14 hours and 11 minutes.

“I feel totally overwhelmed in the best way by love. And I’m also exhausted,” Denison-Johnston told “Good Morning America.

According to Hawaii News Now, the Lat 35 crew rowed in 2-hour paired shifts for 24 hours a day, with each rower averaging only about 90 minutes of sleep per day.

They also relied on boil-to-order prepackaged meals and had to endure seasickness, extreme wind and rough seas, “GMA” reported.

“I think something that I want people to take away is that these women are so incredible but we’re not superhuman. There’s nothing that we were born with that makes us any different than anybody else,” Downes told the program.

The annual race consists of teams made up of three- and four-rower teams who are allowed no assistance throughout the competition, Hawaii News Now reported.

According to “GMA,” Monday’s finish marked the second consecutive year that the winning Great Pacific Race crew set a world record. A four-man team who in 2021 rowed from San Francisco to Honolulu in 30 days, 7 hours and 30 minutes broke the previous 2016 record of 39 days, 9 hours and 56 minutes.
