KOKOMO, Ind. — An Indiana man is behind bars after his 2-month-old baby was hospitalized with skull, rib and limb fractures, authorities said.
According to WISH and WTHR, Chase A. Williams, 20, of Kokomo, is facing aggravated and domestic battery charges, as well as an invasion of privacy charge, in connection with the case. He was arrested Monday and jailed in the Howard County Criminal Justice Center, the news outlets reported.
Kokomo police learned of the baby’s injuries Friday when officials at an area hospital reported a possible case of child abuse, WISH reported. The infant, who had suffered skull and rib fractures, was then transferred to a children’s hospital, where doctors also discovered limb fractures, according to the news stations.
Detectives believe Williams caused the infant’s wounds, WTHR reported.
