The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of more than 13,000 pairs of Rollerblade Fury inline skates and brake supports.
The CPSC said the rear brake on the skates can break or separate, increasing the risk of falling.
Rollerblade Fury youth inline skates in black and white or black and pink are part of the recall. They came in three adjustable sizes: 12J-2, 2-6 and 5-8.
“Rollerblade” is printed on the skate frame, wheels and strap.
The black and white skates have SKU number Fury B BKWH 07067000787 printed on the tongue label. The pink and black skates have Fury G BKPK 070671007Y9 printed there.
In addition to the skates themselves, the brake support that was distributed as a service part is also being recalled.
The inline skates were sold at a variety of retail locations, including REI, Inline Warehouse and Amazon.com, from May 2020 through March 2023. They sold for about $150.
If you have the recalled rollerblades, you’re being told to stop using them and contact the company for a free replacement brake support. You can call Rollerblade at 866-734-5708 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday, by email or online.
