WEST CHESTER, Ohio — LEM Products Distribution LLC on Thursday recalled nearly 16,000 of its Roots & Harvest wide-mouth, pint-size canning jars because pieces of glass may be found in some of the jars, posing laceration hazards.
Per the recall notice, the affected jars were sold in 12-packs, packaged in cardboard sleeves and wrapped in clear plastic. No injuries associated with the recall have been reported to date.
The recalled canning jars were sold at Orscheln Farm & Home stores across the Midwest during July 2022 for about $17 each.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled jars and contact LEM to receive a full refund. LEM will provide a return shipping container free of charge and a prepaid return label. LEM is assisting in contacting all known purchasers. Orscheln Farm & Home is contacting known purchasers directly.
